where i belong
I love seeing other people’s photos of things/places I went to in Japan. Of all the festivals I could have seen, this was my first!
A year ago today, I arrived in Japan. Almost on the hour.
It’s hard to believe it’s been a year already, and that I was only there for four months. I think about my time there every day, it’s amazing to think such a small time had such a huge significance on my life.
I miss it. But I don’t miss other things.
The beautiful aburamen of my dreams
Best in Yokohama! Maybe even ALL THE WORLD! I miss you.
Things I miss about Japan:
Things I don’t miss about Japan:
Post with 1 note
Convenience stores. Family Mart, Seven Eleven. All the inari and onigiri ,the actual convenience. Convenience stores here are convenient only in the way they are open 24/7. The food is expensive and shit, and any supermarket produce has been sitting on the shelves for too long.
Cheap alcohol. $15 for a bottle of johnny, instead of $35 on special
Being able to drink at the beach. The fact that is was legal for a start, then the fact that nobody had to sober drive, because you just take a train there! And even if it wasn’t a sunny day, it was still so warm and the water wasn’t icy Antarctica water like I’m used to. I miss it, even if the beaches here are more beautiful and exciting.
One of the big spiders chilling in the path through the trees. They were everywhere.
